MLP-high-resMelissa Podolsky joined Podolsky|Circle CORFAC International in 2004 as a member of the Property Management Team, and in 2011 was made Senior Vice President and nominated to the Board of Directors. Just one year later, she was named as a principal in the firm.

Melissa leads the Property Management Division at Podolsky|Circle, including oversight of all management personnel.  She is responsible for numerous key functions of the Division, including tenant relations; building inspections; annual operating budgets; facility due diligence investigations; bidding and letting vendor contracts; construction administration; and tenant preparation work oversight of the firm’s  industrial, office and retail portfolio. In her time at Podolsky, Melissa   has managed over 5 million square feet of space.

Melissa has worked extensively and successfully with a broad spectrum of clients, professional engineers, architects, designers and space planners, government agencies, consultants, title companies, attorneys, contractors, and building staff and engineers to achieve superior owner results.

Her belief in maintaining solid tenant and client relationships through strong communication creates an environment conducive to high tenant retention and client satisfaction. Another of Melissa’s strengths is her ability to adapt to individual client and owner needs, tailoring property and project management services to successfully meet their goals and objectives.

Melissa’s “big picture” perspective, effective communication skills and strong work ethic have allowed her to expand her industry knowledge and experience far beyond her management duties.  She oversaw the infrastructure development of the 32 acre Orchard 88 Business Park in Aurora, Illinois. This project has provided Melissa with solid experience in all aspects of site development, including municipality entitlements; permitting; site engineering, scheduling and budgeting oversight; and project contractor management.

As a licensed Illinois Real Estate Broker, Melissa also works as a tenant representative, where clients often engage her services stemming from their experiences as tenants in her management portfolio. She also  serves as a trustee for Evanston’s Roycemore School, whom she previously served as part of its site acquisition and owner’s rep team at Podolsky.

Most recently, Melissa has been working alongside Podolsky’s Investment Sales Team to successfully complete the comprehensive marketing, leasing, sale and management of various receivership properties. In her role as Assistant Receiver, she has filed court reports and appeared in front of numerous judges in Will, Kane and Cook Counties for document applications and fee approval.

These achievements have led to Melissa being appointed moderator of property management panels at the 2012 Distressed Property  Symposium and the 2013 Building Owners and Managers Conference, both held in Chicago.
